Overview

CHI Health Immanuel located in North Omaha just off of I-680 on 72nd Street offers a full-service hospital cancer center rehabilitation center specialty spine hospital and more. Responsibilities

Student will perform under the supervision of a Nebraska licensed Medical Radiographer registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Performs limited diagnostic radiographic procedures.  Radiographic procedures must not include CT, the use of contrast media, and the use of fluoroscopic or mammographic equipment
Performs and ensures safe, knowledgeable age-specific patient care in a holistic manner
Provides patient education and responds to patient and customer concerns
Completes documentation of patient x-ray record and Quality Control processes
Performs value-added activities that result in positive financial performance and customer satisfaction
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Qualifications

Education

Current enrollment at the senior level in a school of  Radiologic Technology accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)

Licensure & Certification 

State of Nebraska Temporary Medical Radiographer license
BLS Certification through the American Heart Association

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Understands methods and is capable of performing venipuncture as required for position
Demonstrated ability to set and maintain multiple priorities in an environment with shifting priorities, while providing accurate deliverables in a timely fashion
Must be self-motivated, and able to take ownership of projects/assignments
Must be a team player with excellent follow-up and customer service skills
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills
Interpersonal skills in dealing with guests and team members
