Job Description

The Solution Consultant provides pre-sales support in the development and presentation of our solutions to address the complex problems that Workiva's platform solves. The qualified candidate will be able to offer specific technical subject matter expertise to the sales function, supporting the business and functional aspects of Workiva's platform and solutions via technical and architecture presentations, product demonstrations, and communication of value-based messaging about the Workiva platform. Additionally, the job requires development of example solutions, prototypes and proofs of concept to demonstrate viability and value of Workiva solutions.

What You’ll Do

Execute pre-sales framework to engage customers, prospects, and partners via phone, web, or onsite meetings, drive the discovery process, and identify areas where Workiva solutions align to address customer/prospect needs

Ensure customer success by working with Workiva Client Services team for smooth on-boarding and long term success

Demonstrate knowledge across multiple domain areas developing working knowledge of industries, departments, and use cases where Workiva can have an impact

Assist in developing new use-cases or by using existing templates providing proof of our solution's impact and value proposition

Conduct process assessments with customers, build Proof of Concepts to validate requirements, build and present customer specific business cases

May begin to deliver cross-domain coaching, training, or mentoring peers

Work with Product Marketing, Client Services, Scoping, and Customer Success to achieve team and company goals

Assist Sales in developing account plans in support of Workiva strategies and objectives

What You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications

Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field; an advanced degree may be considered in lieu of professional experience 

4 years of experience in finance, accounting, internal audit, software development, technical sales, or a related field 

Preferred Qualifications

Experience engaging with and presenting to business or IT managers and executives

Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills

Self-motivated with strong propensity for action, results and continuous improvement

Consultant level in the Big Four or public accounting

Hands on technical experience with SaaS solutions, cloud technologies, and architectures preferred

Experience with ERP, GRC, GL, FP&A, or Analytics & Reporting solutions

Ability to present a value based, compelling software demonstrations

Travel Requirements & Working Conditions

Willingness to travel up to 40% for team and corporate meetings, fostering relationships and representing company interests  

Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, as we embrace flexible work arrangements

How You’ll Be Rewarded

? Salary range in the US: $86,000.00 - $138,000.00

? Eligible for commission based on sales performance

? Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire
