The Role at a Glance
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Puppet module development, GitLab, Artifactory, Atlassian tools (such as Jira and Confluence) and Workload Orchestration tools like Autosys, and Stonebranch. As a member of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
What you'll be doing
Design and develop custom Puppet modules to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management tasks.
Implement automated deployment pipelines using Puppet, GitLab CI/CD, and other relevant tools to streamline software delivery processes.
Automate routine operational tasks using scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Ruby to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Manage and maintain configuration management systems, including Puppet, to ensure consistency and reliability across our infrastructure.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD practices into the software development lifecycle.
Maintain and support version control systems, particularly GitLab, to ensure efficient code management and collaboration.
Configure and manage artifact repositories using Artifactory to store and manage software artifacts and dependencies.
Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues, utilizing monitoring tools and logs to identify and resolve issues proactively.
Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand infrastructure requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs.

What we’re looking for
Must Haves:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with expertise in Puppet module development, GitLab.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and CI/CD best practices.
Hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet and version control systems like GitLab.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps principles.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and learn new technologies quickly.
Nice to Haves:
Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with Legacy Application Servers like WebSphere/WebLogic/JBoss/Tomcat and Content Management platforms like Oracle WebCenter Sites
