Job Overview:
Overall responsibility for driving revenue growth and developing, implementing, and optimizing strategies to achieve fiber sales objectives at Southern Telecom.
?The primary duties involve overseeing sales, marketing, and customer service teams and plans. They work closely with these departments to identify opportunities, establish revenue targets, and create processes to maximize revenue generation. Additionally, the director is responsible for establishing and nurturing long-term relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. Will need to generate external relationships and contacts with fiber carriers and data center customers.
?One of the critical aspects of this role is analyzing data to measure the effectiveness of sales and marketing initiatives, making data-driven decisions to improve results. They also collaborate with other senior management to develop budgets and financial forecasts, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Role will have responsibilities to collaborate with all of the operating company entities within Southern Company (APC, GPC, MPC, Gas, etc.)
To excel in this position several key traits are necessary: possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of industry trends and customer behavior. A background in sales, marketing, or business development with experience in a managerial position is often required for this role.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies for increasing company revenue in the fiber industry.
Align and optimize various departments, such as sales, marketing, and customer service, to collectively work towards enhancing revenue generation. Also, will be key point of contact with the Operating Company Fiber teams
Monitor and analyze market trends and competition to identify opportunities and threats for the business.
Establish annual revenue targets and develop budgets and forecasts to help the company achieve its financial goals.
Build strong and lasting relationships with key clients to ensure customer satisfaction and increase long-term revenue.
Establish data-driven processes for evaluating the success of sales and marketing initiatives and suggest improvements when necessary.
Develop and utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of revenue-generating strategies and initiatives.
Recruit, manage, and mentor team members in sales, marketing, and other revenue-related departments.
Regularly report progress and revenue performance to company stakeholders, including the CEO of Southern Communications
Experience and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field like business, finance, or marketing. Sometimes, a master's degree or higher, such as an MBA, is preferred. The ideal candidate should have 10 or more years of experience working in sales or business development, with a successful track record of achieving revenue targets. Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team are crucial, as you will be responsible for overseeing sales, marketing, and partnership efforts to maximize revenue for the company.
