The Role

Lumen is growing, and we're looking for a wildly talented Direct Sales Manager.  In this exciting role, you'll be responsible for managing a team of Direct Sales Specialists, focusing on selling Lumen's exciting Quantum Fiber products to residential customers. You will be the sales lead for a team of ten sales representatives. The ideal candidate will be located near the Minneapolis/St. Paul area as you'll be in the field with each Sales Specialist several times a months, up to 20% travel required. 

Location and Schedule

This is a Work From Home position in the state of Minnesota.
There will be some required travel within the state to client and team locations.

The Main Responsibilities

Accountable for Monthly sales units/revenue targets. You will achieve these goals by leading a team of Direct Sales Specialists to drive expected sales performance from their Field activities.
Hire and develop top-performing sales personnel
Establish and maintain a true team environment with unified accountability for the customer experience.
Create and maintain a dynamic territory management plan.
Direct daily sales activities across your organization.
Supervise creation, refinement, and implementation of territory strategies and tactics.
Serve as an evangelist for our corporate vision and guiding principles.
Create a challenging, empowering, and fun work environment
Collaborate / provide feedback with supporting corporate departments.
Ensure the professional growth and success of direct reports.

What We Look For in a Candidate

5+ years of experience in either a Sales Manager role or Direct Selling experience is preferred.
Ability to lead, coach, and mentor other sales professionals in value selling, prospecting, and sales closing skills are essential.
Excellent communication skills
Ability to identify common needs and issues across the organization.
Strong analytical skills.
Proven track record of successful professional sales experience.

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.
