Overview

Want to develop packaging materials for a Fortune 200 Company with some of the most iconic brands? If you have a Bachelor of Science or Fine Arts degree along with one plus years of experience with printing technologies and print management, we want to speak with you! We are currently seeking a Printing & Graphics Specialist to join our Packaging Design & Innovation Department to assist in the development and execution of printed packaging materials.

The successful candidate will work with Brand Management, Design Agencies, and our printed packaging suppliers to develop materials to be used in our Operating Companies’ manufacturing operations.

What you will be doing:

Collaborating with Brand Management and Design Agencies during the design process to develop innovative packaging and implementation plans that ensure high quality and cost-efficient printability and manufacturability.
Participative leadership with cross functional groups to ensure new packaging meets product and manufacturing specifications as well as consumer functionality expectations.
Developing and directing packaging execution plans from concept development through implementation in the factory.
Employing creative design skills to modify or develop art when needed to streamline packaging development timelines and control 3rd party costs.
Monitoring projects and engaging with business partners to provide project status updates and recommending course corrections as needed.
Ensuring all Regulatory and Financial Compliance requirements are met during the course of packaging development.

We want you to have:

Bachelor of Science or Fine Arts degree in a job-related related subject area, preferably in Printing or Graphic Communications
1+ years of professional experience in roles that apply graphics development, printing technologies and/or print management experience.
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on Illustrator and Photoshop. Ability to modify existing art files to create new art files that are accurately layered and color matched using a combination of subtractive color theory and spot colors for the printing process in use by the specific project (could be offset printing, flexo printing, gravure printing or digital printing).
Practical knowledge and experience in translating raw design art into printed packaging, applying printing knowledge of all printing processes and treatment technologies to devise creative solutions, directing color and color matching to achieve desired results, and final approval of packaging items on press.
General knowledge of offset, gravure, digital and flexographic printing technologies.
Strong verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and project planning.
Self-motivation and ability to complete short to medium term work with limited supervision.
Working knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office, Filemaker Pro and SAP.
Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally to support business objectives.

The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $76,200.00 - $111,900.00 / annually.
