Job Summary:

Reporting through the Materials Planning and SIOP organization, this position is for an experienced planner / scheduler who will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing all scheduling activities within our organization’s multiple work cells.

This job requires clear and effective communication skills that will be utilized to address scheduling issues and drive cross-functional teams towards meeting cost and schedule commitments to our internal and external customers.

This position requires a highly motivated self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives in a demanding environment. The individual selected to fill this role will need to be able to interface effectively with all levels of management in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment. This individual will sit Onsite at our RTX location in Princeton, NJ.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

Creating, maintaining, and updating the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for Operations and assigned programs; Serving as a key point of contact for the Integrated Project Team, ensuring customer commitments are met.

Communicate and drive resolution of supply concerns with demand planning, VSL, contracts, supply chain, operations, and other cross-functional stakeholders as needed.

Prepare and communicate weekly work schedule (Weekly Targets) to production team, via daily morning production meetings.

Forecasting – work with the demand management function to understand the eighteen month outlook for future forecasted orders and translate the input into capacity plan.

Data Integrity Management in SAP and other systems as needed.

Implementation of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives in scheduling processes.

Basic Qualifications:

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior Master Scheduler or Material/Production Planning experience preferred.

Understanding of the Sales and Operations Planning process and its connection to the Master Schedule.

Experience using MRP/ERP systems (SAP APO preferred)

Experience in Microsoft Office Software (i.e. Excel, Visio etc.)

Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills

Ability to both communicate and present at all levels of the organization

•         Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite.  Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

•         Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
