This position is responsible for managing efforts spanning network engineering, telecommunications (5G/NextG), application development, security and resilience, DevSecOps, and RF engineering, with our teams focus being to leverage all of these disciplines to improve our defense products. The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. The selected candidate will additionally provide technical coordination and execution on eTech Advanced Comms programs, bring experience in systems engineering, with ideally a background in wireless communication systems, network engineering, and defense applications. The role will involve working across various 5G research and development efforts, and may include working with industry partners to design and develop Lockheed Martin solutions based on the latest 5G equipment, and leveraging those solutions to support defense requirements. This role involves managing and leading engineering teams, interfacing with Line of Business program management, engineering project managers, engineering technical leads, development teams, and corporates engineering organizations. This includes coordinating/managing content across multiple teams focused on integration and test and communications engineering.
