Summary:
The preparation, assembly, and repair of various types of oilfield products. Stamping and labeling equipment. Able to operate air tools. Responsible for ensuring compliance with established corporate standards. Comply and participate in the company Health and Safety program. Excellent housekeeping of shop and work area is required. This position is a part of an on-call rotation and may require travel to remote job site locations as well as, occasional international travel. Active participation in FET’s Health, Safety and Environment program is required. Other duties as assigned.
Job Duties/Responsibilities.
Performs independent, routine, or repetitive assignments using a variety of simple techniques and standard work procedures.
Troubleshooting of equipment to identify/diagnose problems
Equipment tear down, repair and reassembly using hand and air tools
Maintain excellent housekeeping practices
Ability to travel to remote job site locations as needed
Occasional international travel as needed
Participation in the rotational on-call schedule
Active participation in FET’s HSE program.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Skills/Knowledge
Basic knowledge of hydraulics & mechanics
Must have a mechanical aptitude
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
Good communication and comprehension skills (verbally and written)
Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve independently
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to change direction as needed
Capable to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license required.
Experience
3+ years’ experience in a mechanical based role
Experience related to hydraulics preferred, but not required
Prior experience with drilling rigs considered an asset.
This is a safety sensitive position.
