Parker Hannifin – Bioscience & Water Filtration Division located in Carson, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern who will assist engineers in various stages throughout the entire product development process from concept generations all the way through production. The intern will work closely with other functional leaders conceptualizing and designing cost effective solutions.
Conduct problem solving exercises using Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing principles to implement process improvements.
Build prototypes for various engineering projects.
Engage in application engineering, focusing on customer print reviews.
Review and understand customer needs and expectations.
Prepare product specifications and drawings, emphasizing cost-effective solutions.
Perform product performance testing.
Generate technical reports and documentation.
Coordinate projects in support of design engineering and product leadership.
Maintaining communication with program coach/mentor to provide feedback on departmental assignments and program improvements.
Attending related training and applying it in work assignments.
Performing other related responsibilities.
Actively pursuing a degree in Electro-mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Megatronics, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Computer Engineering at an accredited 4-year college or university in the United States.
