Responsibilities

Eric Fasking & Associates, staff counsel for State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company in Jacksonville, Florida, is hiring a rising 3L Summer Law Intern (Class of 2025) who will have exposure to litigation and trial practice. The internship strives to provide a balanced and realistic representation of the function of Claims Litigation Counsel, as well as real-world exposure to a multitude of legal services being provided. The selected individual will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with attorneys on assigned projects, observe every phase of litigation, and will have a designated mentor throughout the internship.  The internship has a full-time schedule in the summer beginning Monday, May 20, 2024, through Friday, August 2, 2024, with the potential to transition to a part-time schedule during the 2024/2025 school year. The selected intern will be paid $28/ hour and operate in a hybrid environment (combination of in-office and remote). The Summer Intern selected will also receive a $2000 Intern Stipend. The ideal candidate should possess excellent organization skills, an energetic/positive attitude, legal research knowledge, and the ability to work well under deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.

Located in Jacksonville, Florida, we enjoy an active, busy civil trial practice. We provide a congenial, team-oriented, professional work environment with skilled support staff.

Qualifications

2L students currently enrolled in an ABA accredited Law School and remain enrolled for the duration of the internship
Excellent academic credentials preferably top 1/2 of class in law school
Strong research and writing skills including familiarity with Westlaw
Strong written and verbal communication skills
