Overview
Under direct supervision, designs, develops, and implements nondestructive testing (NDT) to evaluate the properties and conformance of a material, component, or system without causing damage. Records, analyzes, and reports test results. Writes testing plans and maintains test documentation in accordance with applicable regulations and requirements.
Responsibilities
Perform non-destructive tests on objects or materials to examine and attest functionality and performance.
Identifies errors and defects in equipment,
Use of ultrasound, radiography, or other techniques during the testing process.
May be responsible for testing mechanical components, storage, or transport vessels. Like pipelines or containers.
