Delta Air Lines is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Development Engineer to work in its Service Recovery IT team, a pivotal function in Delta's operations team.  This is an exciting role offering the chance to improve technical solutions for our business teams and customers.
Your primary role is to design, develop, document, test and debug new and existing software APIs as well as applications within our Service Recovery environment. 
Design and develop cloud-native applications, features, and enhancements with an emphasis on clean, highly efficient, supportable, and well documented code for the full technological stack. Also, you will contribute to agile development teams following 12 Factor application development principles and understands user and process requirements and ensures those requirements can be achieved through high-quality deliverable.

Responsibilities:? 

Create, maintain, and provide production support for critical enterprise applications used by the Service Recovery teams 
Develop and maintain devops processes for cloud infrastructure both on premises and in Amazon Web Services (AWS) 
Provide code reviews, training, and guidance for junior developers 
Accurately estimate deliverable timelines 
Translate complex business requirements into functional code 
Write automated unit, integration, and e2e tests  
Create conceptual, logical, and physical architectures and curate OpenAPI specs 
Communicate effectively with leadership, business partners and vendors

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

At least 5 years of hands-on development experience in a professional capacity using XML, Typescript, Spring, JavaScript, Node.js, APIs, Oracle, and expanding into NoSQL database.
Hands on Development and Experience to AWS(Preferred)/Azure Cloud Technologies is a definite plus. 
Design thinking, Focus on Test Driven Development, Embedded Security
Experience with Containers, Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift, Developer Workspace, Devops, Jenkins, Code Build/Code Pipeline, API Gateways, Lambdas, DynamoDB, Nexus, Gitlab, Agility, or related technologies
Quality forward development practices, with automation at the forefront for continuous quality? 
Implementations using best practices for information security? 
5+ years’ experience with using JSON, JavaScript/TypeScript, and API Restful / microservices services
Knowledge and experience with JBOSS and Websphere
Experience developing and deploying applications in AWS or OpenShift (Kubernetes)
Knowledge and Experience with Angular (UI Framework) is a plus.
Knowledge of Microservices.
Solid data modeling skills both for SQL (Oracle) and NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB)
Knowledge and/or experience with messaging solutions such as ActiveMQ or Kafka.
Ability to clearly communicate with peers, business analysts, and subject matter experts
Must have the ability to listen to customers and colleagues; convey ideas effectively; prepare written documentation
Proactive in nature with customer satisfaction as a primary goal
Knowledge and experience with the Travel Industry a plus
Knowledge and experience with Test Driven Development with a testing framework. Knowledge of Cucumber is a plus.
