About the opportunity 

As a key member of Ceridian’s Global Privacy Office, the Privacy Program Manager is engaged in the design, implementation, and maintenance of some components of Ceridian’s global privacy program. He/she is also responsible for advising internal stakeholders- from Human Resources to Customer Support to enable the business to comply with privacy laws and internal policies, and further enhance Ceridian’s privacy posture in the marketplace. This role reports into the Senior Director, Privacy Operations.

What you’ll get to do 

Provide privacy guidance to internal business partners to ensure that privacy is built by design, into Ceridian’s products, services, and processes 
Identifies areas of improvement in practices relative to managing data privacy and assist in designing strategies to address 
Performs regular privacy assessments of business processes and Ceridian’s vendors to identify and mitigating risks 
Provide privacy expertise within the incident management process 
Manage and coordinate the response to external privacy inquiries including individual rights requests
Compile metrics and key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of the global privacy program
Other duties as assigned

Skills and experience we value 

At least 5 years of experience in privacy / data protection or related compliance functions 
University degree in related discipline required 
Privacy certification preferred (CIPP-C, CIPP-US, CIPP-EU, CIPP-IT, CIPM) 
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
Superior communication skills (verbal, written and presentation), particularly the ability to communicate with diplomacy, credibility, and confidence at all levels of the organization 
Demonstrated business acumen and successful experience managing aspects of a privacy or compliance program, including managing activities as per a project plan, communicating with stakeholders, and bringing together cross-functional teams and resources to execute towards a common goal 
Ability to exercise good judgement, critical thinking, and balance risks in ambiguous and complex situations 
Solid knowledge of privacy laws and regulations generally, and specifically how they apply to the SaaS business model 

Knowledge of ISO and NIST frameworks as they relate to personal data and the privacy program 
You are creative and passionate about privacy, a self-starter who can work as well independently as in team settings, and a believer in continuous improvement.
