Position Summary

The Data Analyst, Revenue Management (RM) Optimization plays a key role in shaping and driving JetBlue’s RM systems, strategy, and best practices. The Data Analyst will be responsible for identifying and implementing revenue accretive solutions using JetBlue’s extensive data ecosystem and relevant technologies, with a particular focus on the Revenue Management System. The analyst will engage with the larger RM community by leading continuous improvement initiatives and conducting analyst trainings. In addition, the analyst will communicate their findings to a large and cross-functional audience by developing and maintaining reports and visualizations.

Essential Responsibilities:

Lead analysis and create models to make robust recommendations and defined processes around the RM system that maximize flight demand forecast accuracy
Produce insightful tools and reports in Excel and Tableau, leveraging forecasting, market intelligence, and commercial data to drive clear decision-making and strategic direction for system improvement
Liaise with Business Partners for technical assistance and provide support to system users
Develop training and best practice processes for system users
Effectively communicate models and analytical outputs with partners
Build a sense of trust and partnership across the Revenue Management organization to create a productive workplace while taking ownership of duties in a fast-paced team environment
Provide leadership and mentorship for analysts across Revenue Management teams
Partner with the IT Data Engineering and Data Science teams to develop and leverage enhancements to JetBlue’s data sources
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline; OR a demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and four (4) years of relevant work experience
One (1) year of quantitative analysis and analytical modeling experience
Proficiency in R, Python, SQL or other programming languages
Full proficiency in Excel
Data curiosity and motivation to develop data-driven solutions
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Available for overnight travel (10%)
Must pass a pre-employment drug test
Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

Advanced degree in Statistics, Business, or related quantitative discipline
Two (2) years Revenue Management or Operations Research experience
Experience within the airline industry
Proficiency in Tableau or similar business intelligence tools
Working knowledge of Machine Learning techniques and common frameworks, including scikit-learn, Tidymodels, or similar
Experience managing data and developing ETLs in Azure Snowflake or similar enterprise warehouse

Regular attendance and punctuality
Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
Able to maintain a professional appearance
When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
