Senior Analyst, Payroll Tax

Job Description

Completes all payroll tax processes for an assigned country or one large-scale payroll tax process for an assigned region. Activities may include reviewing annual tax statements and certifications, independently preparing tax records and accounting documents and developing reports for management. Addresses control and cash management issues and completes balance sheet accounting, including reconciling benefits, equity and tax payroll fees with payments out to tax and regulatory agencies. Advises payroll colleagues and country or regional managers on tax requirements and regulation to ensure yearly tax activities are completed in compliance with country and/or regional law. Analyzes tax processes, develops reports and suggests improvements to management. Ensures that end of year tax payments and benefits statements are completed as required by country and/or regional law. Assists more senior professionals in developing recommendations for Country Managers and Senior HR Business Partners on tax matters of lower complexity related to payroll provisions in the assigned country or around a complex process. Receives payroll tax inquiries escalated by Customer Service. Responds to standard payroll tax questions from managers and employees. Works to resolve standard issues and escalates complex issues to more senior professionals. Contributes to the implementation of tax law and regulation changes into the assigned country payroll system or adjusts the assigned payroll process to accommodate the change. Confirms the implementation procedure with more senior professionals. Contributes to the reconciliation of payroll tax reporting after each pay run to ensure country tax filings are correct. Responsible for weekly and quarterly tax filings and for the reconciliation of cash activity to Payroll Administration and the tax service(s) relevant to the assigned country or payroll tax process. No direct reports. Bachelor‘s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 3-5 years of total work experience is preferred. Background in Payroll Administration and/or Accounting is preferred..
