Job Description

YUM IT Shared Service is looking for a senior IT leader with a background in Application Development, to provide leadership to Vendor Applications team. This senior leader will advise the Yum! and Brand business leaders on solutions to solve business problem. The solutions can involve successfully implementing SAAS solutions or building new systems.

Reporting to the Director of the ITSS Global Applications team, this senior leader will oversee a small team that will handle a team of business analysts and developers to provide leadership for large projects and initiatives.They will be responsible for providing leadership and helping their team identify requirements, understand the scope, finding right partners and successful implementation of the initiatives. This senior leader will work closely and interact with senior leaders’ within areas including but not limited to Legal, Restaurant Development, Food Safety, Sustainability and HR.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

Work independently with YUM IT and Business leaders to provide solutions advice and instructions regarding the management and implementation of functional initiatives.
Develop supporting business cases for new technologies and initiatives to communicate business benefits to senior management and across functions. Tell story to communicate benefits.
Sustain on-going knowledge of IT industry trends to assess impact to future strategies.
Participate in the development of technology vision and 3-5 year roadmap.
Provide assessment of new opportunities and their estimated cost, creating input into IT Annual Operating Plan.
Lead various global initiatives as required through projects, day to day support or ad-hoc requests.
Analyze business processes and think creatively about how to optimize these processes through the implementation and use of technology.
Mentor direct reports as well as others in the organization.
Build relationship with Business Leaders across brands and global Yum! Organization.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

A Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
Certifications or advanced degrees preferred.
IT Business experience preferred.
Strong technical understanding of Software Development processes and Security.
Strong Communicator (verbal and written): Capable of explaining complex thoughts and solutions to both executives and junior associates.
Thought Leader: Strong influencer of the ITSS budget, including Cost Management and Service Allocation methodologies for their area.
People Leader: Directly coaching a small team of Business Analysts and influencing various other teams.
Self-motivated Leader: Stepping into a key role within the ITSS organization, responsible for leading the Global Applications team to support a global, multi-divisional, corporation.
