The primary objective of the Lead Credit Specialist is to provide Accounts Receivable support to all divisions aligned to Shared Services. The position is accountable for all cash application activities across all North American divisions for complex and high impact applications, new associate training, and may provide additional high-level support to other functions. This position supports problem resolution processes which require critical thinking and “big picture” decision making skills related to customer issue resolution. The Lead Credit Specialist acts as key liaison with both internal and external customers.

What You Will Do:
Adheres to company and department policies utilizing function SOPs and DTPs in daily activities
Responsible for updating and maintaining SOPs and DTPs
Responds to escalated requests as needed and working to end to end resolution
Use critical thinking and analytical skills to develop and maintain key reporting metrics
Reporting and process ownership, maintaining key metrics and working to resolution
Communicate key information to key stakeholders
Perform/Support quarterly and annual audits
Supports on-going system enhancements by assisting in testing, system implementation and valuation of system rules; may be involved with defining system requirements and rules
Maximizes use of processes and systems to manage risk and accelerate cash flow
Develop deep knowledge of customer payment (Order to Cash) processes
Leverages extensive process knowledge across business systems to recognize process deficiencies and leads development and implementation procedural changes to improve productivity and service levels
Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with corporate account sales management teams (AVP’s/CAM’s/AM’s) and external/internal customer contacts (Accounting, Division Controllers, Audit, ShS Managers, RMS, Commercial Banks)
Maintains a positive, professional manner using appropriate business communication
Supports associate training, developing job aids and procedures regarding customer account management for AR team
Demonstrates urgency to resolve issues with associates, internal and external customers. Uses sound judgment in decisions and interactions.
Leverage SLAs and KPIs to drive daily activity
Subject matter expert and resource for ad hoc project support
Provide coaching and first line problem resolution assistance to team members
Achieves individual objectives related to SLA’s and KPI’s
Openly accepts feedback and eager to learn new responsibilities
Actively pursues opportunities to develop and leverages PP&D

The working hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 5:00PM
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma equivalent required
4 years previous experience in credit, finance, accounting, customer service, and/or office environment, additional education may be substituted in part
