Position Summary

JetBlue Marketing is an exciting place to be! We are revitalizing the brand and implementing a fresh look & feel that reflects how we have evolved.

We are looking for a Graphic Designer with a flair for clean, bold design, and a love for creating striking assets for email, digital, print, and airport signage.

This role sits within JetBlue's internal design Studio that manages owned channels, and will play a critical role executing the brand's new VIS ID. The designer concepts and designs a breadth of marketing assets, while being a steward of the JetBlue brand. It also partners with our external agencies to execute supporting creative that aligns with larger brand & campaign initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities

Concept and design in multiple channels including digital, print, and environmental design
Self-sufficient in terms of time management and ideation
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
Collaborate with the copywriting team and internal clients to ensure consistency of brand identity
Mentor junior and freelance designers on a project-by-project basis
Receptive to feedback and collaboration with multiple stakeholders
Design and help build final web layouts through our proprietary CMS that will live on jetblue.com.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant experience
Two (2) years’ experience in a corporate design environment
Experience designing responsively across mobile, tablet and desktop platforms
Experience designing print including branding and environmental design
Fluent in the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects), and Sketch
Ability to natively create animations in After Effects.
Able to create vector illustrations
Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
Ability to manage projects with minimal supervision
A clear grasp of typography, layout, and color for both digital & print design
Experience in preparing digital files for print and web production
Self-sufficient in terms of time management and ideation
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines 
Portfolio demonstrating ability to implement a combination of strategic, conceptual and design
Available for moderate overnight travel (15%)
Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

Five (5) years’ experience in a corporate design environment
Strong Knowledge of Sketchup and Figma
Comfortable with HTML/CSS for front end design styling and able to offer support to other designers as necessary.

Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice
Able to maintain a professional appearance
When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR)
