Based in our St. Louis location, you will be a part of the U.S. international tax function and be responsible for the international aspects of US income tax compliance process, managing the U.S. income inclusion portion of ASC 740 reporting, assisting with the repatriation of foreign cash through the payment of dividends, and providing support for U.S. and non-U.S. tax audits and business restructurings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Be responsible for the international aspects of the U.S. income tax compliance process, including:
Calculating and reviewing U.S. earnings and profits, subpart F and GILTI income inclusion, foreign currency gain or loss amounts under Sections 986(c), 987 and 988, and other related amounts.
Preparing and filing the various U.S. international tax forms including Forms 5471, 5713, 8858, 8865, 8992, etc.
Ensuring the accurate reporting of business restructurings including acquisitions, dispositions and internal restructurings.
Assisting with calculating the foreign tax credit limitation, foreign derived intangible income (“FDII”), the base erosion anti-abuse tax (“BEAT”), application of the limitation on business interest expense, and preparing and filing the related U.S. forms (1118, 8990, 8991, 8992).
Drive improvements to the compliance process including automation.
Manage the U.S. income inclusion portion of ASC 740 reporting, including:
Calculating and reviewing, on a quarterly basis, the estimated amount of subpart F inclusions, GILTI inclusions, dividends received, etc.
Preparing and reviewing calculations of the tax costs of proposed and completed business restructurings including acquisitions, dispositions and internal restructurings.
Providing management with effective tax rate forecasts.
Assist in managing the repatriation of foreign cash through the payment of dividends, including:
Developing a plan for the tax efficient repatriation of cash to meet business requirements and needs.
Working with the Business units to confirm the amount of available cash and distributable reserves, the tax cost of dividend payments, etc.
Collaborating with the Legal, Accounting and Treasury groups to ensure all legal obligations, currency issues, exchange controls, etc. have been considered and satisfactorily addressed.
Assist with the international portion of the U.S. tax audit, as well as international tax audits and controversies, in tandem with other tax teams.
Provide analysis and support for international tax planning, M&A transactions, and internal restructurings.
Assist with reviewing intercompany transactions between US and non-US legal entities.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
B.S. in accounting or other bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of 5+ years tax experience with a CPA firm or Fortune 300 company with a multidivisional structure.
Legal Authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this role
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Progressively responsible tax experience with a corporate tax department and/or licensed public accounting firm – preferably with two or more years in international tax. Knowledge of HFM, OneSource or similar systems, a plus.
