What You'll Be Doing:
Design-oriented thinking focused on end-users - experience making a variety of static and interactive visualizations for a variety of audiences. Awareness of design concepts related to chart forms, typography, and the use of color. Ability to design visualizations that are intuitive to navigate, responsive, and informative.
Ability to analyze data across multiple data sets, interpret data into insights, and develop actionable recommendations.
Engages in quantitative analysis on many non-standard and unique business problems to deliver actionable output.
Designs and builds self-service analytical tools to make data and insights accessible to a broad range of business partners.
Provide HR reporting support including research, analysis of business requests, problem solving, issue tracking, and resolution.
Design, support, and coordinate the development of business relevant analytics and processes.
Manage confidentiality of data by following established security/confidentiality standards.
Translate requirements into effective and impactful dashboards and reports that enable information sharing across the client enterprise.
Provide reporting support on ad hoc projects or requests.
Determine what data should be selected and evaluated to address and track various business issues.
Consult with functional teams on the selection, application, and implementation of metrics.
Proactively apply analytical and research skills to monitor trends and elevate issues.
Promote self-service reporting functionality with end users.
Monitor reporting usage logs and offer recommendations for consolidation where possible.
Take ownership of and ensure integrity of HRIS data through development of audit reports; troubleshoot irregularities; partner with HRIS team to research, correct discrepancies, and ensure compliance.
Identify opportunities to reduce cycle times and increase reporting efficiencies.
Remain apprised of new technology, new approaches and best practices as it relates to business analytics and the ability to generate critical data associated with the business.
Serve as a key contact for non-routine questions and requests, especially related to HR systems and data.
Collaborate with HR/HRIS team members to ensure system usage consistency across regions.
What We Are Looking For:
Typically requires a 4 year degree and 2-4 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
2+ year working with Power BI at an advanced level of expertise required.
HCM reporting experience preferred (Workday).
2+ years of experience working in an analyst role or HRIS systems support required.
Excellent interpersonal communication, critical thinking, decision making, presentation, and organizational skills required.
Advanced understanding of data modeling for reporting and analytics functions is required, with a good understanding of web analytics data preferred.
An individual who has limited discretion to vary from established procedures.
Able to work under general supervision.
Critical thinking and analytical skills; ability to apply systems knowledge to troubleshoot and analyze new issues is critical.
A self-starter, able to work independently with a proactive working style.
Excellent collaboration skills - be able to listen to business stakeholders, understand their needs, plan analytical solutions that will assist them, effectively translate their needs to technical peers, and be able to set expectations around development and delivery of projects while keeping development teams on track.
