POSITION SUMMARY:

The Loan Sales and Acquisition Director is responsible for overseeing multiple purchase or sale transactions, related to mortgage servicing rights (MSRs)and/or whole loans.  This position is responsible for assisting with deal contract management, ensuring contractual obligations are met for each transaction. This position will also work with transfer coordinators, internally and externally, in order to efficiently and effectively transfer loans as part of acquisitions or service releases, ensuring that all transfers are converted in compliance with regulations and investor requirements.  The Director will be involved in all aspects of the transaction process including contract review, closing, interim servicing periods, and post-transfer activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Manage multiple MSR purchase or sale transactions, ensuring Home Point meets all contractual obligations.
Conduct contract reviews.
Coordinate due diligence with external parties or due diligence vendors for individual transactions. Works with all testing parties and operations teams to ensure date integrity
Maintain end-to-end accurate reporting of transactions, data reconciliation, and outstanding funds.
Assist in the creation and improvement of Master Servicing Transaction Management policies and procedures.
Assist with project management of repurchase transactions
Manage preparation of project documentation.
Provide project status reports that summarize actions, issues, and decisions in cooperation with PMO
Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

OTHER FUNCTIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience:

Bachelor’s degree from a 4-Year college or university; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Previous regulatory compliance experience in the mortgage industry.
Previous data control and reconciliation experience, preferably in the mortgage industry
15 years’ experience in Mortgage Banking, mostly in Loan Servicing, with an understanding of MSR transactions
Contract management experience.
Change management experience
Project management and/or process improvement experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Expert understanding of mortgage servicing
Expert ability in the use of Microsoft Office software, especially Microsoft Excel.
Basic understanding of SQL databases, with the desire to learn more
Experience with Black Knight’s MSP product
Strong organization, critical thinking and customer service skills.
Ability to multi-task and manage competing deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Customer service driven; responsive to client issues and concerns.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
