We are seeking 1st shift Environmental Health & Safety Technician to coordinate with the location leadership and assigned EHS leadership to drive implementation of processes, systems, and program to ensure compliance, and continuous improvement projects that will steadily improve EHS performance in Traverse City, Michigan.
Pay: $30 per hour
Shift: 7am - 3pm, Monday to Friday

Key Job Responsibilities:
Leads and supports implementation of corporate EHS systems and standards at the location with direction of EHS leadership.
Leads and supports management of applicable environmental programs air, water, waste, etc. by collecting data and helping to assure reports, inspections and samples are completed timely.
Coordinates with and supports EHS leadership with implementing critical EHS programs at the location. lockout, mobile equipment, electrical fall prevention, etc.
Assists with development of and drives implementation and execution of injury prevention plans Leads and supports location fatality and serious injury prevention team and developing action plans to eliminate risks.
Develops and conducts EHS training to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations
Leads and supports incident investigations root cause analysis and corrective actions
Position Requirements:
Any previous EHS experience is a plus, but not required. Same for previously manufacturing/industrial experience.
Knowledge of state, local and government EHS related requirements.
Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
Advanced computer skills Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
High School Diploma/GED required
