Responsibilities
Work at Discovery's global headquarters with the production engineering team who support video editing and production across the Food Network kitchens, 5 studios and 18 edit suites. The team supports all phases of video production, the day to day technical operations and system maintenance. Systems include Avid Media Composer editing platform and storage, Sony 4K cameras, RTS intercom, Lawo audio and control systems as well as Evetz Bravo video switching and recording. Gain an understanding of the equipment and technologies that make content creation available to linear and digital platforms.
Qualifications
* Must be currently enrolled as a student (proof of enrollment will be required if selected for an internship)
* Must be a rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate student
* Must have at least a 3.0 GPA
* Must have the legal right to work in the United States
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings
* Understanding of AWS or GCP architectures and methodologies,
* Interest in studio production equipment including broadcast audio, video and control systems, video servers, and storage area networks
