In this role, you will have an opportunity to be a part of dynamic supply chain and sales team that supports our Wood Products businesses and corporate functions.  You will be a key contributor to drive operational excellence initiatives that drive continuous improvement in the organization.  You will gain exposure to manufacturing, sales, customer service, planning and logistics.  We are focused on building long term relationships and solutions to take us to the next level. This work will include tactical applications, strategic projects and exposure to our business leaders and decision makers.

Primary Opportunities:

Perform daily activities that may include logistics, planning, customer service, analysis and reporting
Analyze current processes and identify opportunities for improvement
Prepare and present recommendations with accurate supporting documentation
Gain exposure to overall Wood Products Supply Chain including business leaders
Participate in special projects and developmental opportunities
Identify and implement process improvements
Engage with manufacturing mills, sales and customers 
 

 Qualifications

Education: You are pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Business and ideally are one - two years away from graduation.
G.P.A.: Minimum 3.0 G.P.A. in your major of study courses.  You must attach a copy of your unofficial transcript.
Systems: Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other Office products is key, acknowledge & experience using Power BI, MS-Excel & Access; advanced knowledge of MS-Word & PowerPoint would be a plus.
Teamwork: You support others without being asked for help, are a team player, and know how to win together.
Curiosity: You have a track record of proactively identifying potential issues and opportunities through analytical thinking and offering meaningful recommendations that address the root cause rather than symptoms.
Judgement: You use your professional judgement to operate in gray areas and can make and own difficult decisions.
Lean: You have a passion for continuous improvement mindset focused on operational improvements.
Communication: You have strong verbal and written skills.
Duration: This is a full-time summer internship starting in June and ending in August.
