DISTRICT OVERVIEW

Kiewit’s Eastern District specializes in challenging heavy civil construction projects throughout the Northeast, including the metropolitan areas of New York, Chicago, Boston, and Washington DC.? We are leaders in bridge, transit, foundation, tunnel, and water/wastewater construction while specializing in cast-in-place concrete, structural steel erection, earthwork, pile driving, and caissons. Kiewit’s Eastern District also has a large amount of work in the energy/power sector in various northeast locations. With our experienced and dedicated employees, extensive resources and in-depth market knowledge, the Eastern District can handle projects of any size.  

LOCATION

New York City, New York

RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Security clearance management – All correspondence, tracking, and submission of security clearance documents for project personnel 
•    Purchasing/procurement agent for all miscellaneous small tools, supplies, and materials
•    Oversight of operations including project photography, on-site deliveries, field measurements, and field mobilization
•    Equipment maintenance management for all crew trucks, vans and other project vehicles
•    Oversight of material and supply orders and routine services for clients project office in Downtown Manhattan
•    Project compliance officer for USDOT personnel and equipment 
•    Oversee compliance with all safety policies and OSHA regulations.
•    Management of document control including the tracking and electronic organization of project submittals and RFIs
•    Attend meetings and provide technical assistance
 

QUALIFICATIONS

•    An Associate’s Degree in Construction Management (or related) preferred.
•    A minimum of 2 years’ experience preferred. 
•    Ability to adapt to and learn a variety of computer applications.
•    Strong attention to detail.
•    Excellent communication skills.
•    Analytical and problem-solving skills.
•    Great interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others and as a team.
•    Ability to interpret blueprints 
•    Able to complete required duties in a fast-paced environment and within stated deadlines.
•    Must be willing to travel.
•    Must possess a clean valid driver's license.
•    Position may require travel.
