Maintenance Scheduler

Job Description

In this role, you will:

The employee will have the following responsibilities:

Facilitates weekly scheduling meeting with production and maintenance managers
Develops weekly schedules based on negotiated production unit priorities and current business environment to optimize the use of site wide available resources
Ensures appropriate scheduling logic including amount of preventive maintenance work vs. corrective work
Provides feedback to planners on quality of job plan detail and logic
Publishes and updates daily and weekly schedules to affected work groups
Adjusts schedules to accommodate changing production priorities or available resources
Responds to and participates in the timely execution of critical priority jobs
Monitors and tracks weekly schedule compliance, and publishes results cross-site
Provides reports on resource utilization and provides input into any staffing changes that may be necessary based on historical trends and forecasts
Ensure Ready-to-Work backlog is current, each day, and all jobs are valid and up-to-date
Ensure preventative and predictive maintenance is scheduled and tracked upon completion
Report on status of progress and expedite procurement requests as needed
Functionally supplement the Maintenance Planner role as needed

Manage preventive maintenance task lists and plans.
Generate list of preventive work due each week.
Manage plant master data for SAP (equipment, parts, PMs, and personnel records).
Review work requests (notifications) and create work orders, plan work (detail what is to be done, parts, labor hours, skills, # of people needed, downtime expected, special tools required, and procedures applicable.) 
Maintain accuracy of equipment BOMs.
Coordinate investigation of breakdowns to identify needed action to prevent repetition.  Review equipment history for failures and emergency repairs with concerned parties and modifies PM procedures as needed.
Provide input into spare part stocking decisions based on usage, criticality, risk, cost and operating maintenance budget planning.

What we look for:

Educational/Experience:

High school diploma or GED
Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience (preferred)
Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience (preferred)
Experience with SAP planning and scheduling transactions (preferred)
Project coordination experience (scheduling, planning and communications)

Skills and Abilities:

Computerized Maintenance Management Systems proficiency (SAP experience preferred)
Strong maintenance/technical background
Strong organizational and planning skills
Strong analytical / decision-making skills
Strong presentation skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word proficiency required)
Detail-oriented, willingness to learn, creativity, and sense of urgency
