Responsibilities
Provides expertise in production engineering disciplines
Applies principles and practices typically associated with quality engineering, industrial engineering, and manufacturing engineering functions and coordinates with other support disciplines or core functions as required. Teams to coordinate with include: Engineering, management, lean, tooling and operations
Develops quality and cost-effective methods, standards, and systems for production by applying production engineering principles
Leads and participates in long-range technical research on proposed projects
Provides guidance to less experienced manufacturing support staff
Qualifications
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, continuous improvement, and manufacturing support, or 2 years minimum experience with a Bachelor’s Degree.
MS office suite
High level of understanding of composites and manufacturing
Continuous improvement, listening and willing to learn
Preferences:
SAP is a plus; SAP is utilized daily
Manufacturing/shop floor experience is a plus
Lean and Six Sigma experience
Understands RCCA process, can prepare a business case, process improvements
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred not required. Industry experience a plus.
