ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works closely with Agency relationships at Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Federal Home Loan Bank and Ginnie Mae to accomplish FTMC goals, objectives and timetables.
Works closely with Wall Street dealers and trading desks to develop product / pricing opportunities that enhance execution and profitability.
Ensures controls are adequately in place and documented for all functions.
Recruits, develops and retains staff.
Remains up to date on all current market and industry best practices as it relates to Secondary Marketing.
Maintains compliance with all Volker Rule requirements.
Oversees the daily pricing function for FTMC and Bancorp affiliates, ensuring accurate and timely pricing.
Develops and manages pricing models.
Bid on bulk correspondent packages.
Conducts pricing comparisons and understands the market environment.
Analyzes position reports to ensure accuracy and maintains position within FTMC trading policy limits with daily trading activity.
Analyzes market conditions, formulates strategies and execute trades to achieve best execution.
Ensures compliance with FTMC / Bancorp policies and limits, and make recommendations to the Secondary Marketing Committee on appropriate policies.
Responsible for the Loan Delivery area
Effectively maintains QRM risk management system and other systems in line with industry best practices.
Monitors data accuracy and integrity of all closed and funded marketable loans for delivery to agencies and private investors.
Oversees best execution to achieve maximum returns given pricing parameters.
Oversees allocations process ensuring timetables and investor requirements are met.
Oversees all position reporting, forecasts and actual reporting of loan sale, gain/ loss on sale, and mark-to-market reporting.
Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; developing employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth; developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics required or equivalent work experience. MBA preferred.
Minimum 10 years financial services industry experience.
Minimum 7-10 years experience in mortgage capital markets with strong preference for secondary marketing background to include comprehensive experience in conforming, nonconforming, and private lending.
Minimum 3 years management experience of trading and secondary marketing staff.
Thorough knowledge of fixed income market, mortgage markets, agency and private investor requirements.
Strong understanding and experience of QRM and rate risk management processes and systems including.
Strong understanding of accounting requirements that affects secondary marketing including fair value accounting, Sarbanes Oxleym, and Volker.
Ability to drive quality and productivity improvements involving system changes, process changes and staff changes.
Ability to build, lead and communicate with a high performance team especially with senior management participants.
Demonstrated ability to lead, direct, and influence change.
Executive level skills including the ability to provide leadership and direction to the corporation as a whole on areas of expertise.
Possess a solid understanding of technology used to support secondary marketing.
Experience in designing and developing small applications in Excel, Access, Visual Basic or other common technologies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with senior management.
Demonstrated ability to identify strategic opportunities and make specific recommendations.
