About Data & Core Infrastructure
The Data & Core Infrastructure team at Eightfold are responsible for building and scaling pivotal areas of our core platform: everything from reasoning about data models to building microservice frameworks and machine learning infrastructure. We’re looking for engineers with a systems mindset who are curious and are looking to learn and ship code. Some of the interesting projects the team has worked on in the past include: Building and scaling a large scale distributed worker platform processing millions of messages/week, a generic framework to easily build and deploy microservices and a framework to identify and automatically fix inconsistencies between different storage systems.
What you will do/learn to do
Learn about big-data processing systems like SQS, ElasticMapReduce, Spark
Learn about data storage systems like Mysql, Solr, Redshift, DynamoDB, S3, Redis.
Learn about how to deploy services using Docker containers, AWS ElasticBeanStalk, ElasticContainerService.
Build data integrations and frameworks to ensure data quality/integration efficiency
Solve complex and technically challenging problems on a large scale.
Build our application stack on AWS. Our platform is used by millions of users and processes terabytes of data and our team supports a multitude of services that leverage this data.

Solid foundation in programming (any language!).
