What you will do

Your challenge, if you wish to accept it, will be to focus on complex data analysis, creation of reports/dashboards and deliver data insights to drive learning as a business, influence investment, learning design and deployment decisions. This critical role will facilitate the learning and development impact and measurement story by leveraging multiple learning data systems and partnering with program managers who run learning programs and initiatives, to help them define their measurement strategy and help execute against that.  You will also help tell the story of our impact as a team and will have opportunities to present to more senior members of our organization. Drive data enabled decision making for the Global Learning and Development organization.
Support growth targets across the Enterprise by demonstrating the true impact to the business with learning initiatives.
Highlight Global Learning and Development impacts to business leaders and enable the strategic growth of the organization.
Drive KPI’s that the Learning Team has established as critical measures of success.
Demonstrate key knowledge around data and grow the knowledge base of data analytics and reporting across the Learning function.


How you will do it

Decompose high level business needs into functional needs by understanding problem and determining data needs. 
Partner with Global Learning Technology team, designers, learning managers, program managers and other key stakeholders to create reports, scorecards, and dashboards based on different data sources such as (but not limited to) learning experience platform, learning management systems, metrics that matter, HR systems, and internal learning operations platforms.
Extract, transform, and aggregate data through logical queries and programming. 
Utilize appropriate analytical methods to provide actionable insights to key stakeholders/executives.
Leverage analytical frameworks and business acumen to “tell the story” behind the data in a way that is clear, concise, and understandable.
Continually evaluate the quality and completeness of analytical data and develop validation and audit processes to ensure accuracy of reports. 
Define and document system and reporting standards and processes to ensure proper implementation.
Automate reporting and provide exploration capability for reporting users. 
Partner with our global, regional deployment teams to implement the Learning Hub across the globe.
Maintain current knowledge of trends and issues in learning technology and employee experience.
Establish measurement and evaluation plans that include key business metrics and return on investment strategies.

 

What we look for
Required

Knowledge and experience in data warehousing, business intelligence, or big data architecture
Understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and data warehouse schema concepts 
Advanced experience processing and visualizing large data sets in database reporting tools such as SSIS, Excel, and Microsoft Power BI
SQL, Power Query and DAX experience (MDX is a plus)
Knowledge of inferential statistics and the application of statistical testing to data and reports 
Experience collaborating with stakeholders, SMEs, project managers, and different types of audiences
Good presentation skills explaining complex topics to a novice audience
Attention to detail with self-discipline and a drive for results  
Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous situations and across organizational boundaries  
Ability to convey technical processes to business partners in a clear and meaningful way
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach toward business issues
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; comfort in operating within a dynamic, complex, and matrixed organizational structure; ability to establish credibility throughout the organization in processes and people by demonstrating JCI Values
Where legally permissible, if hired, candidate is required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 no later than his/her start date, unless candidate has a valid medical condition or sincerely held religious belief precluding he/she from receiving the vaccine.


Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Research Methods, Statistics, or similar field or equivalent on job experience
