How will you fulfill your potential?

You will design, build and deliver software to advance the firm's open source strategy by doing one or more of the following:

Enable and quantify the company's open source contributions by building cloud-based (AWS or GCP) solutions that leverage Github's GraphQL APIs, Google's BigQuery or other technologies
Leverage React, Angular or other UI frameworks to build modern, responsive UIs
Enhance company-wide SDLC processes for Java, Python, Javscript, Rust, Golang, C#, and others to ensure compliance with open source policies
Learn about and contribute to open source projects that are strategic to the team and company

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities and Qualifications

As part of our Open Source Platform team you will work to build out platforms and products to facilitate and manage open source contributions, report on open source statistics, collaborate with open source communities, and publish blogs and engineering content.  Your responsibilities will include specification, development, testing, release and support of new products and features. You are expected to contribute to the vision, understand our product roadmap, integrate business value with experience, and contribute to building a culture of open source participation within the firm. We expect the successful candidate to deliver high quality software and to be passionate about software engineering. You must have a proficient understanding of software development concepts and interest in learning about open source practices.

Basic Qualifications

A minimum of 2 year of experience of hands-on software development experience
Bachelor or Advanced Degree in any field
Strong technical ability, willingness to learn and evolve your skills with advances in technology
Team player, eager to work and collaborate with a global and diverse group of colleagues
Analytical mindset, creativity, and commercial focus
Judgment to prioritize and escalate issues as needed
Strong oral and written communication skills
Interest in learning about open source practices and projects

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor or Advanced Degree in Computer Science or related field
5+ years of experience in software development
Contributor to one or more open source projects
Programming expertise in JavaScript, Java or Python
