The 3D Chief Technology Strategist will be a seasoned R&D and Innovation leader excited by the opportunity and challenge to bring leading scientists, engineers, and designers together to convert ideas, science, and technology into viable and growing new businesses.
Collaborate with an iconic research laboratory consisting of talented multi-disciplined scientists, engineers and technicians and the 3D business leadership. Build trust and credibility across both the Lab hierarchy and 3D business as both a leader and a catalyst of change.
Act as an advocate, advisor, and mentor to the team. Foster a technology organization that nurtures innovation, and create an environment that top technologists find stimulating, challenging, and rewarding.
Support a revised commitment to cutting edge research and innovation as both a new business opportunity but also as HP key differentiator.
Partner in establishing the strategic R&D and technology roadmap and to provide exemplary scientific input into research and development programs to support the overall corporate strategy and future business directions.
Advise on the technical strategic vision and operational execution to support and harness creativity and invention.
Partner with other leaders across the HP business to drive alignment between investment and research goals for each opportunity.
Establish external collaborations and alliances in academia & industry and serve as a thought leader positioning the company at appropriate conferences, events, and publications to articulate the value of the products and technology.
DNA for Success
Bachelor's, Master's or PHD degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering, or equivalent.
Typically, 15+ years’ experience in Print related field.
A deep knowledge and excitement around the 3D landscape and the opportunity and potential to build a world class R&D program leading to the realization of life changing products.
Experienced business leader and change/transformation executive with a deep technical background.
Strong business and strategic orientation with the ability to apply technology solutions to deliver results and products, while staying current in technology trends.
Ability to drive a strong strategic and technical point of view that challenges the current thinking and inspires thoughtful and productive debate.
Demonstrated leadership mentoring and inspiring high-performing, diverse science and engineering teams, building a culture of excellence and execution. Leads by example with creativity, strategic thinking, and innovation. Acts as a catalyst for cultural change.
