Description:

Analyze tooling jobs and drawings, determine best fabrication practice, machining method, tooling and fixtures.
Create, edit & maintain CNC machine programs for CNC lathes, CNC mills & wire EDM.
Ensure CNC programs are functional, and parts created match drawing specifications.
Work with CNC machinist to address any issues related to programs, materials, fixtures, tooling and machining functionality of parts.
Upgrade existing programs to improve machining time and/or product quality.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

Requirements:

Firm understanding of G & M code programming and proven ability to create Mill & Lathe programs using Mastercam to meet drawing specifications.
Working knowledge of best machining practices, machine set-up, tooling selection, feeds & speeds.
Well organized with good computer skills.
Good people skills: Ability to work with team, engineering and manufacturing personnel.
Experience with EDM programming using Esprit is a plus.
Experience with Live Tooling is a plus
Drafting skills using AutoCAD is a plus
