Job Description


Position Purpose:  Move material from warehouse staging to production lines and assist in packaging of the finished goods in a manner consistent with manufacturing goals and objectives.
 
Description of responsibilities in their order of importance:

Indicates a primary function
Indicates a secondary function
 

Effectively package the finished goods.

Key goal: to produce the finished goods in a timely manor, assuring that quality and safety processes are being maintained.

Physically move all appropriate components to the line, assuring they are of good quality.
Goods issure components onto Process Oder.
Assemble all needed components into a finished good, pack them into a master carton, and place them on a pallet, rotating through positions as a crew member.
Move finished goods off the production line and create finished goods SU, moving to the put away area.
Assist with operation changeovers, cleaning, sanitation and set-ups of packing and assembly equipment as needed.
 

Maintain a safe work environment.

Key goal: Help to eliminate accidents and continuously improve ergonomics.

Adhere to established safe work practices.
Utilize proper ergonomic related equipment.
Follows the programs to reduce workplace injuries.
Report any necessary safety related issues.
 

Maintain a quality / caring work environment.

Key goal: To package products that meets all quality expectations and eliminates rejections.

Follow any direction given about manufacturing, quality and safety processes.
Assist with performing and documenting quality checks required throughout the run.
Help verify that all product quality standards are being maintained.
Assist with quality challenges to find a corrective action.
Report any necessary quality related issues.

Assist with the utilization of the line equipment and materials.

Key goal: Consistently produce to standard cost.

Help support the temporary workers to meet efficiency expectations.
Minimize component and material loss, by minimizing scrap and eliminating rejections
 

Miscellaneous

Assist with the completion of the paper work.
Give support to temporary employees.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Education:   GED
 
Essential Skills / Competencies:
       Abiltiy to run pallet jacks
       Ability to learn SAP/scanning guns
Previous manufacturing experience helpful
Read and understand English
Good manual dexterity
Quality Conscious and Safety oriented
Ability to stand for 7 hours daily
Ability to lift 50 pounds
