Job Description

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Reviews engineering blueprints, changes, and technical specifications to understand the required scope and construction requirements. Once understood, process semi-technical calculations involved in the modifications of plant equipment then write work order instruction for installation and testing of modifications and/or replacement of plant equipment.
Reviews materials required and initiate the process of ordering materials for the modifications.
Routes work orders through the review process monitoring progress and assisting other departments should questions arise.
Incorporates design changes into work instructions during the design phase.
Assists with the development of post-work critiques. Facilitates interface between workgroups. Identifies deficiencies, analyzes alternatives and recommends solutions to schedule conflicts. Can communicate technical information, concepts, and ideas verbally and in writing.
Observes and ensures compliance with procedures and policies. Understands and utilizes construction specifications applying them through the work orders process to ensure fieldwork is efficient and correct.
Observes, incorporates, and promote company safety rules and culture.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum education required for the position

Highly Desired: B.S. Degree in scientific discipline generally associated with power plant operations or vocational, trade school, apprentice program, or equivalent military training.

 

Minimum experience required for the position

4 years nuclear power plant experience.

Desired:  Construction/modification work order planning experience

 

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position

Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operations.

Desired: Familiarity with required tools and equipment. Familiarity with key terms and processes related to developing and implementing construction specifications.  proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Asset Suite, PDMS with a background in reading and interpreting Design Electrical Design Drawings. Able to review Engineering Changes and provide input to the design team. Solution-oriented and can troubleshoot issues for design input along with the ability to work with others in a team environment.
