Job Description
Job Overview
The Cashier will be responsible for receiving funds from drivers and employees. May disburse funds, record monetary transactions, and/or issue receipts for funds received. Perform critical thinking and problem solving in the event of discrepancies on all transactions, all funds must be accounted for. May perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, data entry, general inventory duties, etc.
Position Shift and Schedule
This is a full time permanent position based at our facility in Irving, TX. The working schedule will be Monday to Friday from 10:00AM – 6:00PM CST, with some scheduled Saturday afternoons. Flexibility to work potential overtime, including weekends and/or holidays, is required as scheduled.
Position Compensation
The starting rate of pay for this position is $15.00 per hour based on experience. Attractive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, etc) available immediately.
Position Responsibilities
Account for funds (cash, coin, checks, money orders) collected daily from routes.
Ensure the validity of payments (checks are signed, have routing and account information, dated, to the right company etc.)
Post any discrepancies in invoice totals compared to funds collected.
Assist other cashiers in completing daily tasks such as invoice scanning, organization, and cleanliness of office.
Collect settlement packets from drivers.
Collect and record all payments received.
Review and verify that all proof of delivery has been collected and is valid including verification of invoice numbers.
Identify and record problems for driver supervisor to review.
Use of cash and coin counting machines.
Prepare bank deposits and other necessary paperwork.
Perform the handoff of deposits with the armored truck company and ensure all compliance rules are followed.
Assist employees with purchasing of product, and account for the correct purchase totals.
Other tasks as needed and directed by supervisor.

High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
1 year experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
2-3 year cashier/cash handling experience
Lift approximately 50-70lbs
Computer literate.
