Job Summary:
This role will provide financial leadership to our eCommerce business. Including long term and annual planning, monthly reporting on progress toward targets/objectives, variance analysis, and resolution of financial challenges with insights into profit and revenue drivers.
The role provides leadership in delivering data and insights, on our eCommerce business, to the organization to enhance decision support.
This individual will interact with senior level individuals (VPs, Senior Directors and Directors) in the Digital Center of Excellence, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Operations across divisions.
The role requires personal leadership, collaboration, a “can do attitude”, extensive cross-functional teamwork, and a sophisticated level of business knowledge, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Role Responsibilities:
eCommerce Delivery – Key financial leader for US eCommerce business supporting the VP of eCommerce, eComm Marketing Director, and eComm Sales Director. Partnering with eComm leadership and the team to smartly design explosive growth – eComm will generate ~25% of the total US growth over the next 3 years. Growth will come from multiple sources, and financial leadership will be required to evaluate the financial returns, costs and run scenario analysis since this space is largely new for THC. Develop key performance indicators, driving accountability, and partnering with leadership to develop/modify strategy as the eComm space evolves will also be critical for this role.
Provide Financial Leadership, Guidance and Eduction across all major customer support pillars (DCOE, Omni Sales & CP) :
Leverage insights from key financial metrics to influence senior leadership choice-making.
Drive incremental improvement in accuracy of digital sales and P&L assumptions by leveraging analytics such as historical performance, leveraging industry tools (Edge,IRI) and building strong relationships with brand and retail partners .
Perform ongoing review of Digital P&L financial data to ensure accuracy and reasonableness and to drive sound choice-making with business partners.
Work with partners to analyze, develop and implement strategies to offset real and perceived Digital margin delusion in both annual and strategic plan horizons.
eCommerce Operations & Planning – Maintenance of monthly sales tracking tools, integration, interpretation and application of US P&L tools within the Digital space. Provide detailed sales analysis to commercial partners and external reporting. Develop key performance indicators, driving accountability, and partnering with leadership to develop/modify strategy as the eComm space evolves will also be critical for this role.
Act as the lead in Amazon P&L management, partner with sales planning and sales finance to advise and deliver stepped improvement in total Amazon P&L delivery.
Provide financial leadership for the Strategic Plan process for all areas of digital commerce, including developing the strategies and building blocks to achieve US profitable growth ambitions.
Develop process for accurately measuring and communicating financial returns / impacts to guide decision making of strategic investments of all types.
Conduct scenario modelling across enterprise vectors and time horizons to guide decision making.
Provide support and lead special projects and ad hoc analysis request.
Develop tools and processes to include new sources of digital revenue such as Business to Business, M&A (ONE & Amplify integration) and continue to monitor full company reporting to include international digital.
Lead and develop direct report, enabling their full potential:
Lead and develop a strong team. Develop challenging workplans and provide challenging assignments that will help the team develop their individual skills while bringing new perspectives that will also help the business.
Lead and coach for high performance within the team, and play a meaningful role in leading, coaching, and mentoring. Help team deliver high profile projects such as digital P&L 2.0.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or business-related field, MBA or equivalent marketplace experience preferred.
5+ years work experience in an analytical and/or strategic capacity.
Experience working in CPG and/or other consumer-facing products experience preferred.
Experience developing strategic and data-driven recommendations.
Comfortable working with wide variety of data.
