Better requires process discipline and simplification

As an Information Security Engineer you will be an essential part of Cyber Defense Infrastructure Engineering team focusing on network protection. Primary network protection systems are Intrusion Prevention System and Availability Protection System (DDoS protection). The Engineer will employ technical security skills to design, build, deploy and maintain infrastructure security tools, respond to escalated security alerts and provide security consultation and expertise for the technology teams and business.

You will be the escalation point for network protection security systems and will perform advanced security system maintenance and troubleshooting tasks. You will review escalated security system alerts and logs, correlate those into attack patterns and create action plans. You will perform protection security system architecture review, review and tune security system rule sets, aid in research of next generation security issues, 0-day attacks, and provide input on strategy for future security infrastructure and tools.

You will have the ability to work independently, take ownership of multiple tasks, and serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Infrastructure Engineering tools and processes.

You will need experience with security systems: IPS/IDS, DDoS protection (APS), SIEM, proxy, WAF, DAM, as well as experience in networking (TCP/IP, reading network packets, network technologies, and perimeter protection), Windows and Linux operating systems, AWS and GCP, Active Directory and LDAP.

You must be a strong team player with a desire to cross-train and learn from others, highly adaptable to shifting priorities and ad hoc critical remediation scenarios, and strong communication skills.
