The Engineering Supervisor coordinates the daily activities of Engineering Technicians to supporting all areas of the Manufacturing Service Center. This supervisor is an entry level management position responsible for reporting, performance appraisals, identify and lead improvement opportunities, special projects, recommend design changes; interact with other areas such as Quality, Production, and Warehousing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the performance of a group of Engineering Technicians, providing feedback on performance and productivity daily, during meetings or as needed.
Planning, assigning and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; nurturing a teamwork mindset among all direct reports; developing and mentoring team members on technical and work-related aspects.
The Maintenance Supervisor is part of the Maintenance Management Team; his/her input is valuable to the development and success of the team. Collaboration with fellow Supervisors is expected, as well as participating on special projects, layout changes, quality projects and other related matters.
Assisting Manufacturing Engineering team on creating training documentation, Sequence Of Events (SOE), Engineering changes, Design changes, Safety guidelines and other documentation.
Identifying training needs among team members and following up on the improvement of each member of his/her shift/team.
Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and electronic issues to ensure test and manufacturing equipment is operating per requirements and specifications. Some of this equipment includes manual test stations, high potency testers, scanners, automated test stations, among others.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university
4+ years in a supervisory role is preferred.

SKILLS

Strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting experience is required.
Experience in a Maintenance leadership and/or supervisory role is required.
Extensive experience on a manufacturing/refurbishing and a machine shop environment is preferred.
Electrical and electronics repair training, certifications and/or licenses are highly desired.

The employee must have the ability to use a keyboard and equipment typically found in a manufacturing/warehouse work setting. Individuals must have the ability to lift 45 lbs. and stand for long periods of time and the ability to operate a pallet jack loaded with receivers.
