Job Description

Responsibilities

Manages a team of 14 supply chain, customer service, and logistics personnel with 6 direct reports.
Establishes and manages daily priorities of the facility, drafting and distributing a weekly production plan to meet customer needs.
Using benchmarks; define the framework objectives, progress paths and the expected results for key indicators, ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are met per the business plan.
Establishes and manages the budget for the facility
Validates employee training and assigns responsibilities to achieve timely progression to certification
Drive change through improved organizational capability, providing leadership in recruiting, goal alignment, employee development, performance management and communication. Ensure motivation and retention of a high performance plant staff management team and workforce.
Provides team communication on business plan objectives and performance.
Animate progress and direct the Activity towards the customer (customer satisfaction as measured by product returns / complaints).
Develop and execute strategic capital spending plans for the facility to assure adequate capacity to meet growth objectives.
Demonstrate a leadership style that perpetuates the Michelin Core Values.
This position must successfully collaborate with, and effectively engage and influence, plant personnel; including plant staff, supervisors and employees, to ensure operational excellence is achieved in all key metrics.
Identifies and negotiates the necessary industrial resources within his/her perimeter.
Contributes to the strategic definition of the production capacities and the mission of the sites.
Supervises the overall progress in the service/inventory of his/her perimeter.
Updates the stock norms within the production planning systems.
Ensures the supervision of production aligns with the production commitments and flow control rules.
The shipping operations of the products are organised to guarantee the desired service and delivery times.

Requirements

BS/BA degree or equivalent background/experience.  (BS Engineering or relevant technical experience)
10+ years of increasing management or supervisory responsibility in a heavy manufacturing environment (automotive, chemical, pulp and paper, textile, etc.) or in a military environment with progressive levels of accountability and responsibility in manufacturing and/or related environment.
Ability to adapt communication style and deal tactfully and professionally with all site employees. This includes the ability to handle sensitive information and materials in a confidential manner.
Demonstrated ability to understand and express Company culture, values and practices, as well as business strategy and priorities.
Ability to rapidly adapt, reprioritize and make decisions based on changing needs or situations is critical.
