Your Role
As a user researcher you will be the lead cat herder organizing and facilitating meaningful customer research. You’ll work directly with Product Managers and UX Designers to develop, comprehensive research plans to speculate, investigate, and validate product plans and UX designs. Some of the core activities include:
Planning, running/facilitating, and summarizing Design Thinking Workshops
Direct customer engagement that results in meaningful outcomes and actionable insights
Usability testing of UX designs and software solutions
Advocate for the insights we gather from our users and drive insights into plans
Maintain and improve our persona library to best represent our users
Support the UX design team with research best practices and collateral
Bring your unique perspective and skills to be an integral part of our extended UX team
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in user research.
Master's Degree or global equivalent in Human Computer Interaction, Information Design, Industrial Design, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or related HCI discipline is preferred.
Experience working with a cross-disciplinary team including UX, Product Management, Software Development, and Executive Leadership.
Extensive experience interacting with end users and customers to gather feedback identify requirements, and brainstorm solutions.
Familiarity with Design Thinking and running Design Thinking Workshops
Ability to juggle – metaphorically and perhaps physically.
Insatiable curiosity and an obsession with enterprise software design.
Excellent communication skills including experience speaking to technical (engineering, architects) and business (product managers) audiences.
