Responsibilities/Expectations:
Performs a variety of tasks to safely maintain facility equipment and support pipeline operations, including technical standards and governmental requirements.
Executes moderate to highly complex technical assignments as prescribed by leader, analyzing data to determine solutions to technical or operational problems
Reads and interprets drawings; drafts operations and maintenance procedures
Follows all Company policies and applies appropriate operating and maintenance procedures
Oversees protection of community, personnel, environment and assets
Oversees general knowledge of site/location/equipment specific permits and compliance
Completes assigned reports, logs and maintains accurate records
Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
Required: High School Diploma/GED and minimum of six (6) years progressive experience as an Operations Technician for similar equipment or facility
Preferred: Associates or 2-year technical degree and minimum six (6) years progressive experience as an Operations Technician within a Natural Gas processing or Compression facilities
Physical and Environment Work Requirements:
Must be able to:
Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
Carry and lift items that weigh a minimum of 50 lbs.
Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
Use hand tools
Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements:
Must be able to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holiday as needed
May be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays
Other Requirements:
Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
Needs proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills and proficient/advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers
