Position Summary:
The Global Marketing Manager will participate in the creation of the overall commercial and new product development strategy and execution of new products and the commercialization of existing products within the Tissue Technology Portfolio of the Advanced Surgery Business. This includes life cycle management, pricing strategies, KOL development strategies, portfolio optimization and the overall financial health of the product.
This role will be based out of our Deerfield, IL headquarters.
** We are open to candidates willing to relocate to the Chicago area.**
Alternatively, this individual may be based out of St. Paul/Minneapolis area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Global Marketing Manager will partner closely with their cross-functional team and marketing leader to participate in developing the following:
Develop Global long-range plans (LRP) and investment plan
Establish the global value proposition and evidence strategy to maximize market adoption
Define new product development needs versus unmet market opportunities
Conduct market research and assists in development of short and long term plans
Leverage customer insights and VOC to develop business cases to support and drive strategic development and execution of our products through innovation, internal or external R&D, or business development opportunities
Understand competitive landscape, integrate business needs into the product and ensure desired claims are in marketing plan.
Support portfolio strategy including the product roadmap and lifecycle management
Support market development strategy and identification of key adoption barriers
Develop comprehensive marketing plans including value proposition, messaging, key claims, customer segmentation and targeting, pricing strategy and evidence-based strategy
Support execution in key markets to establish growth
Develop KOL relationships to help further the goal of gaining customer insights that will drive core product penetration and give feedback for new product commercialization
Content development and presentation for internal and external stakeholders
Collaborate with R&D, Clinical, Market Access, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Regional Marketing
Prepare forecasts and short-range budgets for product lines
Assist in medical education strategy for the existing procedural areas and any adjacent areas
Qualifications:
Strong results orientation and analytical skills.
Demonstrated project management experience with a cross-functional team
Upstream marketing including new product development preferred
Experience in conducting successful market research, pricing and reimbursement, customer advocacy development, creative product/program development, messaging and branding.
Strong organization and management skills, able to drive performance and consistently deliver on commitments
Ability to manage several projects simultaneously while working collaboratively with individuals across multiple functional areas of the business
Experience with Qualitative and Competitive analysis
Bachelor's degree required ; Masters degree preferred
3+ years of marketing experience; health-care/medical device industry experience required
Customer facing experience with surgeons preferred
Ability to travel up to 30% at times (including some international travel)
