JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE: 

The Senior Manager, Supply Chain Risk & Compliance serves as a thought partner to the executive leaders of the Supply Chain function and is responsible for the oversight of the functional areas of governance, risk, compliance and policies across a managed spend portfolio of $5-$6B.

The Snr Manager reports into the Director Strategy & Transformation, will have 2 direct reports; the managers of SC Process & Compliance & SC Strategic Projects, and is a member of the Chief Supply Chain Officer’s extended leadership team (ELT).

This position will play the lead role in implementing key state and federal regulatory compliance initiatives, managing ongoing business controls of SC policies & procedures, implementing contract governance & compliance and will serve as the enterprise vendor risk management & surveillance process owner.

This Senior Manager is a key member of the Director SC Strategy & Transformation leadership team, and partners across the CSO’s extended leadership team of the function on a regular basis to develop comprehensive, collaborative, integrated, and progressive strategies to monitor, identify, and mitigate near and long term risk, with the objective of enabling a reduced overall risk profile for the company’s supply chain.

The position will require a minimum 25-30% travel to Entergy project sites in the field, Entergy corporate/regional office locations, Entergy power plants, and to supplier offices.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safety/Human Performance:

Actively promote strong safety behaviors and ensure the team always puts safety first.
Ensure the correct safety and risk contract language applied for all agreements and that this is used by supply chain teams and contractors – and that they are complying
Utilize key tools, programs, and proactive field visits to assure standards and behaviors for staff and contractors.  

Vendor Risk Surveillance & Management

Collaborate & deeply partner with key organizations across the enterprise to develop a comprehensive E2E Vendor Risk Surveillance & Management program.
Manage functional area’s risk and opportunity planning, analysis, and reporting focused on continuous and iterative steps: frame risk; assess risk; respond to risk; monitor risk.

Business Controls:

Establish & monitor proper measures that regulate, guide, and protect the organization.
Coordinate monthly reviews and facilitate processes leading to confirmation.
In close coordination with the enterprise risk management functions, ensure that the supply chain organization remains compliant with local, state, and federal requirements; company policies & procedures; and other mandates.
Provide processes, supporting analytics, reporting, and tracking of corrective actions and risk mitigation measures.

Policies & Procedures:

Lead the development of SC policy and ensure adoption.
Establish change and revision control protocol for policy review and submissions.

Contract Governance:

Contract Management oversight and support – policy, procedures, systems - including management of library of standard contract T&C and templates
Define and implement a clear governance structure for execution by key functional areas within Supply Chain and the Business Units.
Perform regular contract assessments.

Continuous Improvement:

Enable a workforce-driven continuous improvement culture to achieve premier financial and operational results.
As a leader, enable time & resources to execute continuous improvement opportunities.
Participate, engage, and utilize continuous improvement tools, frameworks, principles, and professional training as a standard. 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum education and experience required of the position

Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, supply chain management, engineering, finance, or another related technical discipline and a minimum of 10+ years of demonstrated experience in supply chain business controls & compliance, state and federal regulatory compliance, supply chain 3rd party contractor risk management, and contract governance & compliance.  In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 14+ years of demonstrated experience in supply chain business controls & compliance, state and federal regulatory compliance, supply chain 3rd party contractor risk management, and contract governance & compliance is required
Minimum 8+ years of supervisory or related leadership experience required.
Minimum 5+ year of Commercial or Supply Chain experience preferred.

Desired knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

Deep demonstrated experience with supply chain business controls & compliance, state and federal regulatory compliance, supply chain 3rd party contractor risk management, and contract governance & compliance. 
Supply chain programs, policies, and procedures – enterprise framework development and leadership.
Strong business acumen and organizational agility, with deep knowledge and understanding of supply chain processes, systems, and stakeholders – plan, strategy, source, negotiate, contract, and perform
Strong strategic and analytical thinker with an ability to provide focus on service delivery.
Deep experience with process optimization and continuous improvement preferred.
Strong collaboration, relationship management, and negotiation skills and abilities.
Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and creative problem-solving skills.
