The Medical Segment is looking for a Global Director, Medical Affairs - Medical Products. The Medical Affairs Strategy Department leads post-launch scientific and clinical activities, including grants, publications, evidence, relationships with medical stakeholders, advisory boards, clinical education, and overall clinical strategy. The team is uniquely positioned to deliver highly credible, scientific information to internal and external stakeholders.? We are looking for a scientific leader to manage a team who will direct the implementation of the medical affairs strategies for categories within the Medical Products business segment. This expert will bring excellent leadership skills, as well as a background of scientific and compliance rigor, excellent communication skills, and will report to the Global Vice President for Medical Affairs.
Summary of position
Responsible for leading a team of individuals who establish the highest medical-scientific credibility with customers and stakeholders, and act as medical-scientific expert liaisons between the organization and the medical community through the communication of medical-scientific evidence-based data.

* Utilizes a deep awareness of internal and external regulations to aid in developing and implementing standard processes and ensure compliance by others
Troubleshooting
Diagnoses problems related to daily transactional processes determines possible resolutions and implements effective solutions in a timely manner.
* Partners with relevant parties to brainstorm solutions to the most complex, uncommon problems
* Redirects solution implementation if desired results were not originally met
* Develops interim solutions to complex problems to prevent avoidable disruptions
Technical skills
* Medical/Life Science/Allied health degree and clinical or scientific background
* Demonstrated ability to lead with 1-3 years of people management experience
* Excellent oral presentation and written communication skills
* Proficient at developing and delivering presentations to senior leadership
* Ability to understand and effectively communicate scientific/medical information respond to inquiries and address needs of key stakeholders
* Experience in Operational processes, health care compliance, regulatory requirements, and project management is required
* 5-7 years of experience in medical device field
* Ability to initiate and maintain relationships throughout the medical community
* Demonstrated ability to build positive constructive relationships with cross-functional team members
* Demonstrated high level of personal integrity, emotional intelligence, flexibility
* Understanding of the highly regulated medical device industry environment in which we work
* Ability and willingness to travel 25 possible?
