WHAT YOU'LL DO:
The Information Services Manager (ISM) will serve as a coach to the resources on the various teams and requires operating at a higher level of leadership.
* Support the teams ultimately responsible for adoption, success, and ongoing improvement of Lean-Agile environment. Teach, empower, and engage individuals and teams to reach their highest potential.
* Steer the organization toward Lean and Agile behaviors, habits, and results. Demonstrate an urgency for change, communicate the need for the change, build a plan for successful change, understand and manage the change process, and address problems as they come up. Be a change agent and take a system view of the transformation. Work with engineers and system stakeholders to help ensure alignment and effective execution of Strategic themes.
* Create an environment that promotes learning. Encourage team members to build relationships with customers and suppliers and expose them to other worldviews. Strive to learn and understand new developments in Lean, Agile, and contemporary management practices.
* Attract, recruit, and retain capable individuals. Employ a Lean leadership style that focuses on developing skills and career paths instead of being a technical expert or coordinator of tasks.
* Provide missions and vision, with minimum specific work requirements. Create a safe environment for learning, growth, and mutual influence.
* Establish a decision-making framework. Take responsibility for making and communicating strategic decisions those that are infrequent, long lasting, and have significant economies of scale. Decentralize all other decisions.
* Create an environment of mutual influence. Support Lean-Agile principles and values. Help build high performance teams.
ABOUT YOU:
* Experience managing Lean-Agile practices and implementations
* Show initiative, is a self-starter, able to handle multiple priorities and has excellent time management skills. Must be comfortable with juggling multiple priorities with the ability to manage time effectively.
* High level of maturity; able to handle change and stress with ease
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical and investigative skills
* Successfully understands the impact of technologies on company problems and processes
* Treat customers with respect, dignity, and appreciation. Adds value to customer interactions.
* Function as a positive role model, strong coach, and change agent. Motivate, inspire, energize, and help people overcome barriers.
* Consult and participate in the development and/or selection of technical solutions as required. Understands concepts associated with the I/T architecture and information services industry. Actively support, understands and guides the operation of I/T Core Processes.
* Understand customer business processes and maintain business partnerships with customers and suppliers at all levels. Participate with customer management, as requested, to define, review, or modify business processes. Understands how specified technologies can enable business processes. Communicate with business and I/T customers.
* Pursue operational excellence and continuous improvement.
* Anticipate and prepare for emerging systems and technology needs. Uses goals and objectives to prioritize work and guide actions. Understands multiple systems or technologies. Understand interaction with other systems.
* Proven leadership abilities and tangible success implementing strategic business initiatives.
* Bachelors degree in related system and/or business-related field of study (or equivalent work experience)
