Job Title: General Laborer - 40-Line Laborer
The 40 Line Laborer works alongside and in unison with other 40 Line Labor shop employees to ensure timely and accurate production of appropriate pipe in the fabrication shop. This position is represented by the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 219.
1st Shift - Monday thru Friday, 7:00AM - 3:30PM and subject to mandatory OT.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
Primary duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Measure and cut pipe to specified length based on sketches, identification label, and/or blueprints that are given
* Groove and thread pipe to meet all tolerances/specifications
* Upon completion of the final operation, all material(s) will be packaged for shipment
* Operate the pneumatic tensioner and crimper when applicable
* Handling of chemicals in a safe manner
* Inputting information into computer system as needed
* Using strong math skills to correctly handle and prepare pipe

Education / Work Experience:
* High school diploma or GED is required.
* Technical or trade school training is a plus.
* Experience working in a fabrication shop or factory setting is a plus.
* Basic computer skills are required.
* Ability to think strategically, make sound decisions, and produce accurate and timely results is required.
