DIVISION OVERVIEW:
Crowns Food Division is the number one manufacturer of food cans in the world. Our complete array of food packaging serves a variety of markets, including fruit, vegetables, dairy, fish, meat, ready meals, pet food, infant milk powder and other dry food products. We offer a wide selection of food cans from round to bowl as well as shaped cans. We truly focus on excellence. Here is your chance to join the Crown Food

LOCATION:
Plant 37 is located in Hanover, PA. The Plant manufactures 3-piece and 2-piece steel cans for the food industry with Continuous operations. There will be approximately 90 employees at the Hanover location. The Plant is located on Route 194 in York County and is in close proximity to Gettysburg PA, York PA and the Maryland border.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The manager of Quality Assurance oversees the plant quality processes, networks with other Quality Managers in regards to shared internal and external customer requirements and ensures that CROWNs World-Cass Performance measures are followed. Specific responsibilities include:
Provide guidance and instructions to the quality department and overall operation to ensure that goals/requirements are achieved
Serve in the following roles:
o Food Defense Coordinator
o HACCP Team Lead
o SQF Practitioner
Participate and promote plant safety activities
Customer interface for quality concerns and COAs
Supplier interface for any quality defects
Processing and maintaining accurate customer complaint records
Conducting various audits on a regular basis as prescribed by corporate as well as locally developed systems audits as needs dictate
Daily review of all process controls records to ensure that internal compliance measures and customer requirements are being met.
Ongoing communication with employees and peers on all quality issues
Provide quality systems training for plant hourly and management teams
Daily review and entry of defective material into associated databases
Daily review of production audits to determine proper disposition of questionable product and formally isolate production, when required
Generating a monthly report that details quality activities at the plant. This report will include quality data and issues, customer concerns, supplier concerns and request for corporate assistance
Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
Three years of manufacturing experience
Proficient in Office applications, (Excel, Word, Access & PowerPoint)
Grasp and understanding of SPC (Statistical Process Control), Six-Sigma & Lean Manufacturing. Understanding of HACCP & GMPs
Good personal interactions skills for training, coaching and leading of plant hourly and management teams in the Quality Systems utilized
Must work well with others and be able to communicate in a concise and clear manner
Must have the ability to interface with corporate quality, engineering and customers, concerning quality issues and process capability
Strong organizational skills coupled with an ability to objectively evaluate data and perform statistical analysis
Technical writing skills to develop reports and participate in employee/team development effort
