Commercial Metals Company is currently seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to work with a collaborative team of tax professionals supporting a Fortune 500 company. This position will be a hands-on team member assisting with all aspects of U.S. federal, state and international tax. We use state of the art tax technology to get the work done. What You'll Do
* Assist in preparation of consolidated federal income tax return using OneSource Income Tax software, including all foreign reporting requirements
* Assist with the preparation of the quarterly and year-end income tax provision using OneSource Tax Provision software (ASC 740)
* Assist with income/franchise tax audits including responding to IDRs, notices, inquiries and nexus questionnaires
* Perform tax research, providing and documenting conclusions and tax positions
* Help identify and quantify tax savings and process improvement opportunities
* Provide technical advice on various federal and multi-state tax issues
* Help gather and validate information required for multi-state allocation and apportionment and state modifications
* Prepare income tax extensions and estimated tax payments
* Special projects/ad-hoc reporting as needed
What You'll Need
* 2-5 years tax accounting experience with private industry and/or public accounting
* OneSource software (including OneSource Dataflows) experience preferred
* Alteryx software and data visualization tools experience a plus
* Strong understanding of Tax and US GAAP principles
* Comfortable with tax research tools
* Ability to gather, organize and analyze data
* Strong proficiency in MS Office Applications, particularly Excel
* Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Team player, detail oriented, and organized
* Ability to work with minimal daily supervision
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to thrive in fast-paced, constantly-changing environment
Your Education
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Tax required
* Master's degree preferred
* CPA or CPA candidate is preferred
